Welcome to Hatfield-McCoy Resort/Inn! The owners are Donald and Kathy McCoy, direct descendants of The Hatfield's and The McCoy's. We would like to welcome you to our restaurant and inn, where good food, comfortable rooms, and genuine hospitality come together. We’re proud to be a family-friendly destination where guests of all ages feel right at home. Whether you’re here riding the ATV Trails, stopping in for a memorable meal or settling in for a relaxing overnight stay, we invite you to slow down, connect, and enjoy time together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Inn is centrally located in Historic Matewan, WV and on the borderline of McCarr, KY. We are conveniently adjacent to the Buffalo Mountain and the Devil Anse ATV Matewan Trail Head / Parking lot. We are right between Buffalo & Rockhouse "Hatfield and McCoy" ATV trail systems!
The Inn can accommodate 30 people. Great for large groups riding together! Our overflow house, The Devil Anse Trail House, can accommodate 12. Each room in the Inn has its own private bath, TV and linens with access to Wi-Fi. The rooms lead to a front street overlook and a back street observation deck above the courtyard with views of beautiful scenic Appalachian Mountains.
We are less than a .25 mile from a gas station, grocery store, General Dollar and Family Dollar.
Breakfast is available on site here in the Inn at Wingo's Grill every Friday and Saturday and other mornings upon request. We are open for lunch and dinner. We also provide trail lunches and serve “Pork worth Feud’n Over”!
Enjoy over 500 miles of trails and lots of local history! We are located within 1-15 miles of 90% of the feud sites!!!

Buffalo Mountain is known as the most historic trail system, as well as the one with lots of Green Trails which makes it family friendly. Lots of single track trails, making it incredibly popular with dirt bike enthusiasts. This system has five community connectors providing direct access to the ATV-friendly towns of Matewan, Delbarton and Williamson, Man, and Gilbert, WV. Each of these towns offer gas, food and lodging.

Trail System links up to two other Hatfield McCoy Trail Systems- Rockhouse and Buffalo Mountain- totaling over 300 miles. The trailhead is located in the town of Matewan, historically known for being the heart of the Hatfield McCoy Feud. The trail system has direct access to gas, food and lodging.

We invite you to come visit The Real McCoy's here at Wingo's Grill. We offer a Family Friendly Atmosphere. Located on the first floor of The Hatfield McCoy Inn. Wingo's specializes in freshly Smoked Pork Boston Butt BBQ, served with one of our mouth watering homemade BBQ Sauces. We have great Ribs, Wings, Black Angus Rib Eyes, 1/2 lb Burgers, Philly's, Rubens, Quesadillas and much more.

For all size Dual Sport adventure bikes, there are endless miles of riding. For street riding there's not a single quarter mile section of strait road in the region and plenty to see and do. Routes are Available from 60 -150 miles including The Feud Loop for History Buffs. There will be rides available that include some awesome Backwoods Single Lane Twisty B -Top as well as some Dirt/Gravel Roads and all located within 10 - 25 miles of Base Camp at McCarr Ky.
Best of all there's BACON! Complimentary Lunch both Friday and Saturday includes Bacon Roasted over a camp fire ALL YOU CAN EAT / Help Yourself "Roasting Sticks Provided". To top off the event Saturday Late Night there 's Complimentary BACON GALORE. ALL YOU CAN EAT!!! "Help Yourself". That is if the Hatfield's don't steal the Bacon!
